Residential centre for 11 to 17 year olds.
Barnard Castle School, founded in 1883, is set in its own fifty-acre estate in an area
of outstanding natural beauty.
Boarding accomodation is contained within the main school building and also in
houses set within the grounds. The accomodation is in twin, triple and multi-bedded
rooms with shared bathrooms in every house.
All meals are taken in the self-service dining room and a laundry service is available.

20 light spacious classrooms, a large assembly hall for activities, MJA office and staff room,
and a Group Leader common room

Indoor swimming pool, 12 tennis courts, sports hall and extensive playing fields
